Thanksgiving has came and gone and it was delicious! Anyone else still not sick of turkey?
Before the holiday arrived I met up with a few of my local blog besties to attend a flower arranging and wine sipping class hosted by Farm Gal Flowers. Yes, a flowers and wine class, how fabulous is that! We sipped wine, created arrangements for our Thanksgiving dinner table and had wonderful conversation.

The lovely owner of Farm Gal Flowers grows at the East End Market, which is such a fun local spot and also happens to be where Blog Fete was held. Supporting and shopping local is the best.
I thought I knew a thing or two about flower arranging and I was a tad bit off. Eileen, Farm Gal Flowers owner, started the class by creating an arrangement and running through some flower basics. Did you know you should begin your arrangement with the greenery? I always used greenery at the end as a filler. Starting the seasonal flower arrangement with greenery totally made sense after watching the expert at work.
After picking up a few tips we got to work! Selecting flowers was fun… I wanted to grab a handful of everything, but the kumquats totally grabbed my eye as a must use. My sweet friend Karen is showing off my arrangement below and you can spot the kumquats used as fillers. My girl Elizabeth was over the moon with the floral options.. giddy is a great way to describe her during the entire seasonal flower arrangement class.
As recommended by Eileen, the flowers were watered and trimmed back slightly after 3 days. My arrangement made the trip home and looked fabulous on my Mom’s Thanksgiving dinner table.
Much thanks to Farm Gal Flowers for hosting such a fabulous event and for making our Thanksgiving dinner table colorful. If you’re in the Orlando area be sure to check out Farm Gal Flowers and follow her on Instagram for beautiful arrangements.
