We’ve been in our new home for 2 months now and I love every bit of it. While the house didn’t require any major work or updating, we jumped on making the house a home by adding our touches. That list of ‘want to do to the house’ is a long one. Both the husband and I prefer a modern meets farmhouse style and slowly we are making that happen. If money were no object I would have went overboard with the updating already, but as adulting wins we are slowly updating room by room to showcase our style and taste.
One of rooms in our house that we opted for a refresh over a complete redo was the guest bathroom. Next month we are hosting a big family event and there will be 11 of us in total at my house. I am SO excited about this big family event! Like, so excited. We put our simple guest bath refresh on the to do list and wanted it complete before they arrived. When was the best time to do this simple update? When my son returned to school of course! My little guy is in school 3 days a week and that’s when I really get to tackle that to do list and those ‘must complete prior to’ tasks.
Grab all the cheerful colorful bathroom refresh details and before photos below!
The boring before photos.
The space is white and crisp, but oh so boring. I prefer a clean clutter free space and while the guest bath already had that feature it needed something more. Don’t you think? Most of my house is filled with soft blue and grey tones, but I decided to do something fun and different in this bathroom. Luckily we have three bathrooms and my boys don’t have to share the space with guests making it a space I could do whatever I wanted with (the boys bath upstairs is dinosaur themed and kid friendly).
As I mentioned we will be having a handful of guests next month so I wanted to make sure the space was filled with all their needs. I’ve put together a list of must have items to get your bathroom guest ready while giving the space a little refresher at the same time.
Guest Bath Refresh Essentials:
Decorative Shower Curtain
Decorative Curtain Hooks
Decorative Soap Dispenser
Isn’t it amazing how small touches can make for such an impact? The bright colored items have updated the space without any painting or time intensive manual labor required. It’s the perfect balance of the crisp and clean space I prefer with cheerful inviting touches for guests to enjoy. Baskets are the best, they not only store items in an organized manner they look stylish too. Place extra towels, rags and toiletry items in a large basket for guests to easily grab for use.
The wash rags are my favorite color details. We all NEED these essentials items in our bathrooms so if you’re not looking into doing a guest bath update I still recommend a little refresher for the other baths in the house. So where did I get all these items? Target of course! I’m a Target girl and the manager knows me by name. That isn’t a bad thing right? Below you’ll find photos showing you were you can locate the new Quilted Northern when you’re purchasing your other bathroom essentials. The new 4 in 1 mega rolls are designed to give you more which helps when it comes to how often you need to refill the roll, especially when guests come to town.
Make sure to add this Target Cartwheel offer to save on your next purchase of Quilted Northern Ultra Soft & Strong Mega Rolls! Quilted Northern is the finishing touch to your bathroom refresh.
Be sure to also enter the sweepstakes link below too! So much going on to kick start our bathroom refresh.
Will you be opting for bright colors in your bathroom refresh or will you be adding in muted tones to the space? How do you get rooms guest ready? I love sharing my favorite tips and receiving them even more! Let me know all about your home refreshers and updates. I’m making my way through each room myself; if you know a short cut or ways that one can quickly make a house a home leave a comment.
