I debated on sharing this Valentine’s themed masterpiece with you all since we are approaching Easter but then it hit me, this fancy girls brunch party isn’t just for Valentine’s or Galentine’s Day! Lucky you I decided to share this styled photo shoot to inspire a fancy brunch anytime of the year, wink.
This styled shoot is hands down my favorite one I’ve whipped up. I know I know I know, I say that about each styled shoot I did but this one was the most relaxed and small so it truly is my favorite, or at least until the next one is created. Once again I joined forced with my Florida photographer and friend Rachel V Photography; you can see other summer themed styled shoot here. Anytime I team up with Rachel I get a bit giddy, she captures what I need without direction and she gets me. My go-to all things crafty and eye for amazing style is my friend Elizabeth of Within The Grove and of course I had to have her join in on this one too! Elizabeth created a stunning hanging roses backdrop for the brunch party and it completed the entire set up.

Mona of Merci Bakery created these custom cookies (are they not the most amazing cookies you’ve ever seen!?!) and the tiny macarons which made the perfect plate pairing combo. Soft pinks, twinkle lights, macarons… I’m not sure a table setting gets any better than that. The place setting was completed with gold cutlery, custom heart bunting banner name tags and gold polka dot napkins. What’s under the plate? Pink tissue paper! Yes! Cut a strip of pink tissue paper to create a pop of color and add to a basic white table cloth and white plate setting.
My favorite part of the display is the wall which created this amazing backdrop to the table display. Believe it or not this wall is Rachel’s dining room! She’s cool like that. I hung banners and fresh eucalyptus on the black and white strip wall and a bold backdrop was created in minutes. If you don’t want to use pink and red tones which we selected for Galentine’s Day any color palate would work against a black and white painted wall. Want to create this black and white wall but need it to be a temporary feature? Head to your local Home Depot or hardware store and purchase a large piece of wood (plywood or the thinnest cheapest option works well) and paint away. Set up the piece of wood as a backdrop for dessert tables and events! More details on the rose DIY that completed this overall wall display a little further below.
I have seen flowers hung at events all over the interweb and at local events and decided it was time I join in on the fun. Elizabeth is my flower expert and she went to work on creating the hanging rose display. Isn’t she the cutest?
To create the display she used fresh roses, twine, scissors and tape for the ceiling. Trim your roses, add them to a pieces of string, attach to twine and repeat until you’ve reached your desired length. Easy peasy and stunning, right? We decided to let the tied off rose strings hang at different lengths for a more dramatic vibe. Rachel loved the backdrop we created using her dining room wall and we left the roses hanging for her and her daughter to enjoy for a few extra days. With Spring here I would loooove to do this with different fresh flower options or maybe a variety of colors and create a rainbow effect!
Pancakes, ample syrup, toffee, donuts and champagne. Brunch party food perfection. I will never ever turn down pancakes, donuts or champagne so they made an appearance at brunch as they should. Being completely honest I consume those items anytime of the day and not just for brunch. I think I should consider getting back to running to burn some of this off… or maybe not.
I had such a blast with these ladies creating this styled brunch party display and I hope you enjoy it as much as we did! Until the next styled shoot, cheers.
