Last month we celebrated our son’s 2nd birthday. He is a BIG Star Wars fan and BB-8 and Kylo Ren are his favorites… pretty much he loves The Force Awakens is his favorite with a heavier love for BB-8. We love Star Wars but honest zone- our toddler loves Star Wars more than we do! He’s a dark side boy and I’m tempted to get a shirt that says Dark Side Mom. My sweet and talented friend Carmen of The Flair Exchange created an inspiration board for the party. You can find more mood boards and custom options here. You may recall his 1st birthday party which was Bowties and Dinosaurs, photos here and here. This year things were much smaller, much much smaller being that his brother is only 2 months old. Part of me felt guilty his table stylist mama didn’t go all out, but the husband reminded me that our son loved his very simple party with just a few guests and that’s all that matters. You can find a few snap shots over on IG from the party and I may get around to sharing a few here soon. I hung a few banners, had a cake made, had Chic-fil-a (his favorite) cater and put out his favorite star wars toys including his 3 foot tall Kylo Ren. Simple is good, right?
Before I know it I’ll be planning his 3rd Birthday and the babies 1st. While Star Wars is awesome I’m hoping the baby takes to Harry Potter so I can have a HP fan in the house. Wouldn’t that be an epic 1st birthday party theme? If he too decides to be a Star Wars boy I’ll be just fine with it. wink.
May the force be with you.
