Can you believe we are approaching Easter? January was the longest month of all time but how are we chatting about April already?! Easter is one of my most favorite celebrations for a few reasons. On Easter we get to celebrate Jesus first and foremost but we also get to invite friends and family over for a celebratory lunch! A celebratory lunch, colorful tones that speak my language, and honoring the risen moment all combine to make Easter one special day. As you know, one the best ways to celebrate is by creating an inviting table for your favorites to gather around. Today you’re in for an Easter treat, y’all! I’m sharing how to set the table with ease for Easter lunch AND sharing a video of me creating this tablescape too. Catch the pretty table, my Easter tablescape decorating tips, and behind the scene video below.
I promised more videos this year and I’m having so much fun adding to my YouTube channel! You can subscribe here, friends. Did you have fun watching a quick behind the scenes set up? Styling tables and creating simple place settings is one of my favorite ways to show that you’re celebrating, so there will be plenty more coming to my new channel soon.
How to Set the Table with Ease for Easter Lunch
So let’s chat a entertaining with ease this Easter.
Pinterest is flooded with epic Easter ideas and the coolest cookies ever, but if you’re more like us you’ll be putting focus on the holiday and the people you’re spending it with over all the things. Creating a pretty table for Easter lunch should only take about 15 minutes and that includes ironing your tablecloth, wink. Here are a 3 items I use that surprises people.
- Plastic cutlery that looks pricey. My friend and owner of Sugar & Cloth launched a line with Amazon and I snagged a few of her items including these stunning plastic cutlery; get yourself some here.
- 2-3 yards of fabric as a tablecloth. Print a hobby store coupon, find your favorite fabric, and surprise your guests with a one of a kind tablecloth they’ve not seen before. When I share that I’m using cut fabric as the tablecloth it surprises guests each time.
- Candy dishes as floral arrangement containers. This white and gold bunny I snagged at Target a few years back and it has been used for many things including a tea bag holder, pot for flowers, and candy dish. Don’t add more things to your home each holiday if you don’t need.
I decided not to add food to this table display to give focus to the pretty table top decor, but wanted to add a pop of color in the beautiful stemware. I added juice and strawberry slices to add a new color to the teal, white, gold, and coral table. Fun, right? Drinks don’t have to be 10 kinds of fancy and you could even serve tea with fruit as a garnish if you wish. Again, Easter is all about gathering with family to celebrate not the recipes that take hours.
My friends from Pier 1 sent me some Valentine themed items (you can see more of that here) and I made the executive decision that these flowers were not going to be used on Valentine’s Day only. This floral arrangement made for the perfect Easter table centerpiece!
Ready to set the table with ease for Easter lunch? I tossed a few ideas your way and a video so I think you’re more than ready to entertain your favorites in April. Happy Easter, happy celebrating, and cheers to inviting tables that loved ones gather around.
