This summer we have a huge bucket list of summer-themed activities to complete. Some of our summer bucket list items include camping, a day at the trampoline park, a theme park visit, and epic family water balloon fight. Summer is brutal in Florida, but we make the most of it. We have already kicked off our summer bucket list but I ran into a tiny hiccup; my bag and clutch was NOT summer activity ready. Backpack, diaper bag, clutch- I carry them all for different occasions and starting this summer I will have my must-have always radiant mom items packed! Today I’m sharing a dose of real life motherhood with an embarrassing story that occurs at the indoor trampoline park. I know so many of you can relate to what I’m about to share.
Let’s chat about my style first. It’s comfort, it’s simple, it’s functional- just how I prefer my Mom style to be. I also love me a good clutch, it can set the tone for the entire outfit. Tip: have a clutch packed at all times and drop it in your diaper bag or large bag. Remove your clutch for date night and girls night out and it’s ready to go! Toss on a solid oversized top and grab your clutch before heading out and you’re a stylish mama ready to tackle the world. Wait. Are you really ready to tackle the world? Does your clutch have your mom essentials in it? Mine didn’t. Here’s why I was NOT ready to tackle the world aka the trampoline park….
The trampoline park mom accident
I was so pumped to experience a few hours at an indoor trampoline park, just as excited as my 2 boys were. I had a full scene played out in my head: I would show off my mad skills, impress my boys, and even do a flip. I’d be the coolest Mom in the room.
I put my required fun trampoline socks on and was ready. I gave my cell to my husband to capture my “coolest mom in the room” epicness that was about to unfold.
Then it happened. I jumped and the joys of motherhood took center stage and said not today, Melissa!
I tinkled (mom term) my pants and then minutes later started my period. Yep, that happened. I had to use items in the bathroom as coverage, which was all sorts of awful. Those 3 small jumps left me uncomfortable, slightly embarrassed, and it benched me for the rest of the trampoline fun. There was no cool mom doing flips in the room that day.
My husband took over and showed our boys an epic day, which included him doing flips, and I slowly walked around capturing what I could in between several bathroom breaks.
In all honesty I handled that day like a boss. Since having children my body has changed in many ways. I have a different (more comfortable) level of style and my essentials have shifted.
I now pack ALL my bags with mom essentials and discovered a new product that fits each one of our needs best. Always now has a size selector tool to find the best pad for you. How great is that!? No more guessing at what you might need! With stylish women in mind, Always Radiant gives women the confidence to feel their best. You know I am ALL about feeling confident and stylish. Once you’ve discovered your perfect size you can buy your mom-essential item at your local Wal-Mart where the prices are always low. My favorite part of this Always Radiant product is that it can absorbs 10x its weight for ultimate protection for up to 10 hours. Can you imagine if I had that level of protection at the trampoline park? Visit RadiantlyStylish.com for more.
Before I leave for any outing I grab my radiant tumbler (filled with coffee, of course), my clutch, my Always products, a notebook, my favorite lipstick, and my sunglasses. During the summer months you’ll also spot me with hair accessories to keep my hair out of my eyes and add a fun flair to the season.
It feels great to no longer stress about that time of the month or accidents that could occur while having fun with your family. Summer is here! Get your stylish bag ready for a radiant summer with you favorites.
